Costa Rica is a country in Central America, durable and full of rain, from the coasts of the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Although its capital, San Jose, is home to cultural institutions such as the pre-Columbian Golden Museum.  Costa Rica is known for its beaches, volcanic eruptions and biodiversity. About a quarter of its area consists of a protected forest, full of wild animals, including arachnids and quetzal birds.
